ethically made swim suits

It's swimsuit season!! Now that I'm a "real" adult I don't spend nearly as many days lounging around at the pool or beach but that doesn't mean I don't love splurging on a new suit come summer! Shopping for one is always an interesting process since post-winter body isn't always my favorite but I love finding a fun new suit to play in the water in!

I tend to go with mix and match style bikinis - that way when I'm traveling I only need to bring a couple suits to give me plenty of options (like my husband actually knows what suit I wore the day before...) but definitely need to broaden my horizons a bit when it comes to swimwear.

Here are a few of my favorite ethically made swimsuits! This year we'll be covering things up a bit because who knows what my body will look like after having this baby so I included both a 1 piece and 2 piece that I love from each brand! ;)

I hope this helps!

Cabana Anna Swimwear

Cabana Anna is bright and happy swimwear that I love! What I love even more, though, is their mission which "is to fight child labor and expose the ugliness of overseas labor conditions. To make beautiful swimwear, crafted with love, that does not exploit workers for cheap product. To make you never have to choose between your conscience and your love of fashion. Do good, feel good, be beautiful!"

The tie dye style is classy yet fun and I really love the striped bikini. It would be perfect for a 4th of July party!

Vitamin A

Vitamin A is a California based that produces their swimwear ethically directly in sunny California! They donate a percentage of profits to environmental organizations and their prints prints are created, when possible, with waterless digital technology at factories specially chosen for their innovative approaches to conserve electricity and water.

The black one piece reminds of something that an undercover FBI agent would wear (I wanted to be an FBI agent as a kid...) and the aztec print on the 2 piece is just gorgeous!

Rey Swimwear

This fun swimwear company is inspired by Audrey Hepburn! I love it! Rey is committed to ethical fashion by both manufacturing and sourcing their swimsuits ethically. Their manufacturers are responsible for upholding practices across areas such as human right, health/safety and fair wages. Way to go, Rey!

The floral top on the 2-piece reminds of the south (and I'm on this huge - "I want to live in the south and sit on my front porch drinking sweet tea in my cute dress" phase) and the black one piece would be absolutely perfect for a post-baby body!

Faherty

Their suits are made out of recycled polyester from plastic bottles. How cool is that? They have a close relationship with all of the factories which is also so important.

I love the unique cutout of the pink suit and I've always wanted to try a high waisted suit like the blue one. Has anyone tried the high waisted swimsuit trend yet? I would imagine it would be really comfy!

So now you have 4 options for beautiful, on trend swimming suits that are perfect for summer! What suit style will you be rocking this year?
